How to find us by public transport

Subway: Line U3 or U6. Get off at the stop "Universität" (University).

The Center for Economic Studies (CES) is located only a 2-minutes walk away from the station “Universität” (U3, U6).

From Central Station ("Hauptbahnhof"):

Take any of the suburban trains ("S-Bahn"; S1-S8) in the direction of Munich East ("Ostbahnhof"). Leave the "S-Bahn" at the second stop - "Marienplatz". Change to subway (“U-Bahn”) line U3 or U6 in the direction of "Olympia-Einkaufszentrum" / "Moosach" or "Garching-Forschungszentrum". Get off at the second stop - University ("Universität").

From Eastern Railway Station ("Ostbahnhof"):

Take any of the suburban trains ("S-Bahn"; S1-S8) in the direction of Munich Central Station ("Hauptbahnhof"). Leave the "S-Bahn" at the third stop - "Marienplatz". Change to subway line U3 or U6 in the direction of "Olympia-Einkaufszentrum"/ "Moosach" or "Garching-Forschungszentrum". Get off at the second stop - University ("Universität").

From Munich Airport:

Take the suburban train ("S-Bahn") S8 or S1, get off at "Marienplatz" (after about 40 minutes). Change to subway ("U-Bahn") line U3 or U6 in the direction of "Olympia-Einkaufszentrum" or "Garching-Forschungszentrum". Get off at the second stop - University ("Universität").

How to find us by public transport

The bus stop "Poschingerstrasse" is adjacent to the ifo Institute (187 bus).

From Central Station ("Hauptbahnhof"):

Take the subway ("U-Bahn") U4 (direction "Arabellapark"), change at "Richard-Strauss-Strasse" to the 187 bus (direction "Arabellapark").

or:

Take tram Number 16 or 17 (direction "St. Emmeram" or "Effnerplatz"), change at "Herkomerplatz" to the 187 bus (direction "Arabellapark").

From the Eastern Railway Station ("Ostbahnhof"):

Take the Metrobus Number 54 (direction "Münchner Freiheit"), change at "Mauerkircherstrasse" to the 187 bus (direction of "Arabellapark").

From Munich Airport:

Take the suburban train ("S-Bahn") S8, get off at "Daglfing" (after about 25 minutes). Change to 188 bus (direction "Unterföhring"), change at "Herkomerplatz" to the 187 bus (direction "Arabellapark").

From CES to ifo Institute:

From the station "Universität" take the 154 bus (direction "Arabellapark"), change at "Mauerkircherstrasse" to the 187 bus (direction of "Arabellapark"). Get off at "Poschingerstrasse".
